Nicaragua, the land of volcanoes, is a very poor country, unemployment is 80% and the average age is 17 with the population estimated over 5 million this year from only a million 30 years ago. 

Hurricane Mitch tore through Central America in 1998, with rains causing mudslides all through Honduras and Nicaragua. I went with my Uncle and 28 other people from eight different states, working with the R.C.A. & CEPAD along with the residents to rebuild houses and latrines in a little town called El Mango.
